The Waterfront Restaurant was built in 2004 and is a family owned & operated business. The Wolff family brought the local tourist attraction “Reefworld Aquarium” in 1989 and after years of operating a small cafe decided to branch out with the Waterfront Restaurant.
With no real experience in owning a restaurant the Wolff family threw themselves in head first and fought hard to build up to have one of the highest reputations in the Australian Bridal Industry. The family business prides itself in supporting the local community with employment, work experience and buying fresh local produce and seafood when possible.
While Jan & Ross Wolff are now retired you’ll still see them working or dining at the restaurant. Their children Greg, Natalie and daughter in-law Natasha are still working the family business.
